Take a leisurely mile-long walk past the animals as well as the lanterns shaped like beasts (both real and mythical!) including leopards, and a blazing phoenix. Important informations

  • * Children below 12 years old must be with an adult * Food is permitted, but alcohol, glass items, and straws/lids from fast food are not * The event will proceed irrespective of weather conditions * IllumiNights is an evening event. While most animals go indoors for the night, giant pandas (indoor dayroom habitats), Chilean flamingos, and Huacaya alpacas may be visible * In the event of rain, please bring the appropriate gear. As safety is our number-one priority, in the event weather conditions are assessed to be a safety hazard, Zoo Atlanta reserves the right to close or cancel the event * IllumiNights is a separate ticketed event, so all daytime guests will be asked to leave the Zoo by 5 p.m. so we can set up for the evening. If you have a daytime ticket, you may then reenter using your IllumiNights between 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. * Paid public parking is available in the Cherokee Avenue lot (flat rate of $6 during IllumiNights) and in the Grant Park Gateway parking facility on Boulevard. Lots are patrolled, but please leave valuable items at home or secure them out of view * Entrance is free for children under 3 years old Scan your smartphone ticket at the entrance gates. * Pets are not allowed, except for service animals. However, service animals may not be allowed in certain areas * The IllumiNights Lantern route takes approximately 90 minutes to walk through and is accessible for wheelchairs * Select concession locations will be available throughout the Zoo with festival-inspired beverages, snacks, and meals.
