Learn the history of Canada’s Mounted Police inside the Fort Museum, a recreation of the 1874 fort built by the North West Mounted Police (NWMP).
You can step back in time inside the museum’s eight buildings which house over 9,000 artifacts and an archival collection.

You’ll also have the chance to visit two of the oldest buildings in the area – the Fred Kanouse trading cabin and Sir Frederick Haultain’s law office – both of which have been fully restored on their original sites. - * No backpacks allowed inside the museum * Musical Ride Schedule: From July 1, Wed - Sun at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm, and 3:30 pm * Musical Ride may be cancelled due to weather conditions * Musical Ride Schedule: From July 1, Wednesdays - Sundays at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm, and 3:30 pm * Children under 5 years of age receive free admission * Please visit the admissions desk and show your smartphone ticket at the entrance of the museum * The Musical Ride (show) is performing from July 2nd to August 29th, and will perform at 10:00am | 11:30am | 2:00pm, if weather permits.
