- Instant confirmation COVID-19 information: Government regulations compliant What to remember: There is a short steep climb from the coach drop off in Thira to the cable car station and steps in Thira, Megalochori & Pyrgos. A one-way cable car ticket back to the tender pick-up point is included in the cost of the excursion. The wait for the cable car could be up to 2 hours. We'll tender you ashore in the morning to the coach park, but this excursion finishes in Thira where you'll need to take the cable car back to the tender pick-up point. This excursion is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or wheelchair users. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sunhat, sunscreen and plenty of bottled water.
